5CloudHost Review – Fast hosting for under $1?
5CloudHost is a set of 3 hosting packages offering fixed price hosting for 5 years and beyond. Hosting is in the EU and USA and is on high spec servers for faster WordPress websites.
What is 5CloudHost?
5CloudHost available here is a European-based company offering dedicated servers, the 5CloudHost is a sister site offering affordable but high quality hosting for all kinds of websites especially WordPress.
How much does 5CloudHost cost?
There are 3 packages, each package has increasingly better resource allocation for different site requirements.
Cloud Starter
The starter package costs under $1 per month which is incredible. The total cost is $47 for 5 years, for that you get:
- 1 domain
- 5GB SSD storage
- 50% CPU (1.4Ghz)
- 512MB RAM
- 20 Entry Processes
This is a decent starter package for the average blog, the disk space is more than enough and the CPU and RAM will do for starting out.
Cloud Business
The business package costs $97 for 5 years ($19.40 per year!) but packs a punch.
- 10 domains
- 15GB SSD storage
- 100% CPU (2.8GHZ)
- 1GB RAM
- 50 Entry processes
This is a similar package that I run approx 60 sites on and it works just fine, the CPU specification is actually a bit higher than what I have with my host.
The storage space is as much as I use for 60 WordPress sites so no worries there. 1GB RAM is fine for most sites.
Cloud Enterprise
The enterprise package is the top package and the spec is superb.
- Unlimited hosted domains
- 50GB SSD storage
- 200% CPU (5.6Ghz)
- 2GB RAM
- 100 Entry processes
This is the ideal package if you are planning on launching a load of affiliate sites, the spec is great and will keep the site running very fast – which leads to better Google ranking.
Very few of my sites have 2GB of RAM allocated and the same for 2xCPU.
Where are 5CloudHost’s servers located?
The servers allocated to these packages are located in Dallas, Texas USA and Bucharest, Romania EU.
Both locations are extremely fast no matter where you access the sites from.
I used to only host in the UK and USA but I have since used servers all over Europe, Canada and all over the USA and it doesn’t affect ranking as it used to. I also use in combination with Cloudflare CDN and my choice of CDN BunnyCDN to serve content locally.
5CloudHost offers easy 1 click Cloudflare integration if you find that tricky to implement. If you use WordPress, there are a multitude of plugins that do that for you, your caching plugin probably has a CDN option.
Conclusion
Overall, the 5CloudHost packages are great value for small sites to larger sites, the resources allocated are generous for the price of the package and the servers are high spec.
My recommendation is the Cloud Business package offering a good specification with ample storage and great options for adding more sites.
If you are looking for fast and reliable but cheap WordPress hosting, look no further than 5CloudHost.
