HostXNow Hosting Review – Reseller & Shared
I have been with several hosting companies in the past few years. Being in the UK, my preference was UK based hosting. I have a reseller account with Guru, read my review of Guru Cloud Hosting here. I needed another smaller hosting package for a couple of sites, based in the UK with Optimised WordPress hosting. Read my HostXNow hosting review to see if they are right for you too.
UPDATE 31/12/2018: I have had an unfortunate experience with HostXNow and I am working on a resolution. I think that I can no longer recommend HostXNow after almost a year of hosting. I have removed the links to their site from this post.
Update 01/2018: Unfortunately, one of my sites was suspended from HostXNow and I was not given any prior notice. I had to request access to the site to find out what the issue was as the usage stats in cPanel were fine. I was told that those are not reliable – what else am I supposed to judge usage on if not that?? I felt that HostXNow were very unreasonable, unprofessional and sarcastic in their responses so I cancelled my hosting and moved the sites to the fantastic Guru Hosting. I will no longer recommend HostXNow to any friends and family.
What is HostXNow Hosting?
HostXNow is a UK based hosting company offering shared hosting, reseller hosting VPS and dedicated servers. They use OVH for backend datacentre connectivity and hardware and offer a variety of very well priced hosting package to suit all budgets.
What features do HostXNow hosting offer?
HostXNow offer all of the standard features that are essential for most users. They offer the industry standard cPanel control panel, free LetsEncrypt SSL certificates, ample SSD storage and unlimited bandwidth.
Something notable for me was the inclusion of PHP7.2. This has been available for some time (since November 2017) none of my other hosting providers offer PHP 7.2 yet so its good to see HostXNow offering this.
They have servers located in London UK, Strasbourg France and Montreal Canada. I needed hosting for a couple of UK sites so London UK was ideal for me. If I had more European traffic or North American traffic, I would have considered one of the other two options. It may be feasible to use a CDN but that is another story and will cost a bit on top.
